Of course we found ourselves in Queen's Yard for another Keep Hush summer session, drawn by the siren call of a system about to be tested and the collective need to lose a few hours. DJ Autumn steps up, and we all know what's coming: no frills, just function. The yard is a concrete bowl amplifying every kick, with fading daylight giving way to harsh, clinical lighting that makes everyone look vaguely suspicious. Technically, this is a masterclass in pressure. Locked into a 151 BPM average and the steadfast key of 12A, Autumn builds a world from the low end, where the avg energy score of 0.49 in the bass region becomes a physical presence.

The mids at 0.41 provide the essential groove and shuffle, while highs are rationed at a mere 0.10, making every clap or hat feel like a precious resource. The mixing is seamless and driving, using harmonic consistency to create a trance-like, forward-rolling momentum where the energy arc is a slow, inexorable climb rather than a series of cheap drops. For crate digging credentials, look no further. Simo Cell's "Yes.DJ" is a brutal, industrial opener that clears the palate with distorted kicks and noise. JUICY SELEKTA's "Hustlin'" brings a vital, swung swagger and street-level attitude to cut through the rigidity.

"Barcode Population" by Barcode Population is a percussive, loop-based tool for locking the floor into pure functional movement. The crowning moment, however, is the audacious 24-minute journey of Brothers' "The Moon (Extended Italian Version)," a track that uses melancholic pads and a relentless bassline to achieve pure, exhausted catharsis. The set travels from the abrasive introduction of "Yes.DJ" through a tunnel of rhythmic intensity, finally spilling us out, spent and satisfied, onto the expansive shores of "The Moon.".
