Marsh |
Live at Anjunadeep x Printworks 2021
Nothing beats the tragic romance of the "finding themselves" raver, crying in the smoking area of an industrial estate because the chords reminded them of their ex's dog. They’ll tell you this set healed their inner child, completely ignoring the fact they’ve been drinking warm prosecco since 2 PM. The legendary, towering press halls of Printworks 2021 were awash in spellbinding, kinetic light beams that cut through the thick fog like a sci-fi dream. Looking at the Marsh | Live at Anjunadeep x Printworks 2021 tracklist, it’s a masterclass in melodic pacing.
Cruising at a rock-solid 125.0 BPM, this Rominimal odyssey utilizes 3B and 10A keys to weave a deeply emotional, harmonic tapestry. The energy profile is lush and balanced, prioritising warm mid-range synths over aggressive percussion. His mixing style is notoriously patient, allowing those long, euphoric breakdowns to breathe properly before dropping the bass. Marsh’s crate digging is utterly top-tier here.
Slipping in his own gorgeous remix of Andy Moor & Adam White's "The Whiteroom" next to a cheeky throwback like Martin Solveig's "Hello (Michael Woods Remix)" is a brilliant laugh. It’s a perfectly sorted mix of deep cuts and hands-in-the-air moments. The emotional arc of this Marsh live set is a proper journey. He sets the tone beautifully with the opening track "Find the Answer (Pig & Dan Remix)" by 999 & Amadeas, building to a tear-jerking peak with his own classic "Innocence." He closes the colossal room out with the fittingly titled closing track "Free" by Marsh, leaving the Anjuna faithful in absolute scenes.
