HAUTE live
Café A for Cercle
The Parisian chic brigade are out in full force, nursing single glasses of natural wine and pretending not to notice the massive drone camera buzzing right over their heads. They're far too cool to actually dance, opting instead for a subtle, rhythmic head nod while judging everyone else's vintage outerwear. It's an intimidatingly fashionable crowd, but the gorgeous, open-air intimacy of Café A for Cercle provides a truly stunning backdrop for the music. This HAUTE live set is a live-electronic hybrid that absolutely refuses to play by the standard Rominimal rules.
The tempo is a wild, unpredictable beast, averaging 132.1 BPM but swinging drastically from 91 to 166 BPM, using 8B and 4B key structures to weave between soul, funk, and electronic beats. The HAUTE Café A for Cercle tracklist is a crate digger's dream of live instrumentation and leftfield cuts. Performing their own massive hit 'Haute - More' is a guaranteed flex, but throwing down a cover of 'The Alan Parsons Symphonic Project - Eye in the Sky (Live)' is the kind of madness that causes absolute scenes. The journey is beautifully organic.
Launching with an atmospheric ID opening track, the duo builds a deeply infectious, soulful peak before gracefully bowing out with the closing track 'RZRGRiN - Crystal Protocol'. Proper sophisticated stuff.
