EDC Live - EDC Las Vegas 2016: Brennan Heart
wasteLAND hosted by Basscon
You have to admire the pure, unadulterated chaos of Kandi kids suddenly experiencing a desperate urge to do kickrolls in the middle of the desert. The neon graveyard is absolutely swarming with American rave bros in fluorescent tank tops, chewing off their own bottom lips while pretending this is a spiritual awakening rather than just a very loud Tuesday. The post-apocalyptic stage design is bathed in lasers, pulsating with the raw, chaotic energy of fifty thousand people losing their minds. Diving into the Brennan Heart wasteLAND hosted by Basscon tracklist, this Brennan Heart live set is a high-octane assault on the senses.
The BPM is absolutely flying at an average of 148.7, drifting anywhere from a bouncy 120 up to a skull-rattling 176. Navigating through 4A and 11A keys, the energy arc is a relentless upward trajectory built on rapid-fire mixing and thunderous drops. The crate digging here bridges the gap between massive festival anthems and raw, punishing Techno and hardstyle hybrids. Hearing the Hardwell Remix of Armin van Buuren's 'Ping Pong' layered in is a crowd-pleasing stroke of genius, though the sheer weight of 'The Hum' is what really tears the roof off.
The journey begins with the aggressive opening track 'It's My Style' by Brennan Heart & TNT, whipping the crowd into an immediate frenzy. The set rides a wave of euphoria and distorted kicks before smashing to a halt with the closing track, Crypsis's 'Break Down Low'. Proper mad.
