Live at Anjunadeep x Printworks London 2021
Welcome to the Printworks corridor of doom, packed with lads in black tees looking for a 'spiritual experience' in a former newspaper printing plant. The Anjunadeep x Printworks London 2021 crowd is absolutely having it, though half of them are just here to take a blurry photo of the vertical lighting rig for their Instagram stories. It's industrial cosplay at its finest, and it's a right laugh. The legendary venue's cavernous, concrete hall is sliced open by blinding, synchronized lasers, creating a brutalist, dystopian rave haven. This Dosem live set is a masterclass in driving Rominimal, locked firmly at a propulsive 124.9 BPM.
Uniquely, the energy profile here is massively mid-range heavy, relying on piercing synths rather than just sub-bass to move the floor. He aggressively works the 5A and 10B keys, building a tense, minor-chord atmosphere that constantly threatens to boil over. The mixing is sharp, layering multiple tracks to create dense walls of sound. Dosem's track selection is absolutely top tier, strictly for the heads. He pulls out the Anyma x Layton Giordani remix of Loofy's 'Last Night', causing absolute scenes in the narrow hall.
Slipping in Andy Compton's 'That Acid Track' is a cheeky nod to the old school that keeps the purists happy. The Dosem Anjunadeep x Printworks London tracklist is an intense, laser-focused ride. The opening track, Alvaro Albarran's 'Tubah', immediately sets a dark, heads-down tone. The undisputed peak is his own remix of Above & Beyond's 'Air for Life', before the closing track, the legendary 'Halcyon And On And On' by Orbital, leaves the crowd completely floored.
