DJ Rush - Awakenings Easter Festival 2022
Awakenings Festival is where the European techno elite gather to scowl aggressively at the kick drum. You've got the Berghain queue cosplay massive out in force, wearing enough black leather to re-upholster a sofa. God forbid anyone cracks a smile while having a completely sorted time. Absolute serious business only.
It's an industrial, strobe-lit warehouse simulation where the bass is thick enough to rattle your fillings loose. This DJ Rush live set does not mess about, locking in at a relentless 139.5 BPM. Heavily weighted in 12A and 7A Camelot keys, the harmonic tension is dark and driving. It’s a proper low-end workout with enough high-frequency sizzle to keep the hi-hats slicing through the darkness.
The DJ Rush Awakenings Easter Festival tracklist is built for maximum dancefloor destruction. Dropping the Coyu & Flug remix of Renato Cohen's "Pontape" alongside Lilly Palmer's "Don't Look Back" is a brilliantly brutal selection. After a tension-building unknown opening track, Rush systematically dismantles the crowd. The absolute roof comes off when Jeff Mills' legendary "The Bells" rings out, before he leaves them completely devastated with the timeless techno closing track, DJ Rolando's "Jaguar".
