BORGORE, JAUZ and OOKAY b2b DJ set in The Lab LA
Oh mate, the holy trinity of American EDM drops. The front row is entirely composed of lads named Chad wearing backwards snapbacks, waiting for the bass to drop so they can aggressively shove their best mates. Someone is definitely going to spill a Red Bull vodka on the CDJs before this is over. The tiny confines of The Lab LA were turned into an absolute zoo, bouncing off the walls with chaotic, high-octane frat-party energy. A glance at the BORGORE, JAUZ and OOKAY b2b DJ set in The Lab LA tracklist reveals an absolute disregard for genre boundaries.
Clocking an erratic average of 127.6 BPM, this supposed Rominimal set bounces through 12A and 3B keys like a pinball. The energy profile is pure chaos, slamming from aggressive, screeching highs to face-melting low-end bass drops. The mixing is less about subtle blends and more about screaming on the mic before a massive double-drop. The crate digging here is basically just opening a folder labeled "FESTIVAL BANGERS 2015." Smashing Disclosure's "Confess To Me" into Drake's "We Made It" and topping it with a Quintino remix is violently American, but you can't deny it works on this crowd. It's a mad, sorted mess.
This live set is a rollercoaster that derails immediately and beautifully. Kicking off with a filthy unknown opening track, they take the room through a blender of genres, peaking with the absurdly massive "Tuesday" by iLoveMakonnen. They end the absolute scenes with the ultimate troll closing track, Queen's "We Are the Champions.".
