Awakenings Festival 2019 Sunday - Live set Adam Beyer
Area V
Another year at Awakenings, another sea of identical black t-shirts moving slightly out of time. It’s always brilliant watching the techno tourists try to maintain their stoic Berghain faces while secretly dying for a sip of water. The colossal Area V tent feels like the belly of a futuristic beast, pulsing with strobes and an ocean of raised hands. Locked at 130.2 BPM, this Techno powerhouse heavily explores the 3B and 12A Camelot keys.
The tracklist provides a massive low-end punch while keeping the mids incredibly tight. Beyer’s mixing style is legendary for a reason—he builds relentless, rolling energy arcs that refuse to let the crowd breathe. The Adam Beyer Area V tracklist is stacked with Drumcode heavyweights and cheeky vocal samples. The Peter Rauhofer Remix of "Apreciate Me" is a brilliant throwback, but dropping the Maxi Remix of Digital Emotion's "Go Go Yellow Screen" is a properly mad flex.
The Adam Beyer live set opens with an ominous "Unknown - Unknown" opening track before launching into the stratosphere. The massive 17-minute play of ANNA & Miss Kittin's "Forever Ravers" is the undisputed peak, finishing strong with the closing track "Moon Rocks" by Enrico Sangiuliano.
