Partyraiser
Tomorrowland 2022 - WE2 Q-DANCE
Partyraiser on the Q-DANCE stage is where we go to voluntarily have our internal organs rearranged by sub-bass—a sacred space for the hardcore faithful and the morbidly curious. We’re here for the kick drums that sound like gunfire and the communal release of screaming along to samples we probably shouldn’t. The stage is a bunker of strobes and smoke, a temple to BPM extremism. This is hardcore, pure and simple, with all the chaotic energy that entails. Averaging 108.4 BPM, the set lives in the punishing mid-tempo range, with the 12A key (5x) providing a dark, aggressive tonal center.
The energy profile is surprisingly balanced at 42% low, 44% mid, 14% high, meaning it’s as much about distorted melodies and frantic vocals as it is about the kick. Mixing is fast and furious, often using cuts and double-drops to maximize impact, a style that rewards stamina over subtlety. For the tracklist, opening with 'Betavoice & Russian Village Boys - Gabber' is a statement of intent—no warm-up, just immediate assault. 'Dr. Peacock - Trip To Holland (Original Mix)' is a classic hardcore journey, full of schizophrenic breaks and euphoric leads.
'Partyraiser & Repix - Ode to the Godfather' is a brutal, respectful tribute to the genre’s roots. 'Juanma Dj - Explota Tu Auto 45' brings a chaotic, gabber-inflected energy, while 'STV & Partyraiser - This Is Only the Beginning' promises (or threatens) more to come. The journey is a relentless pummeling: it starts with the declaration of 'Gabber', peaks with the epic, 9-minute chaos of 'Tukekieress - MTA - Concurso HardmissionTrip', and closes with the homage of 'Ode to the Godfather'. We emerged, ears bleeding and grinning, feeling oddly purified by the violence.
