We're here because the promise of 'vinyl only' from a mainstream titan is either a gimmick or a genuine crisis of conscience, and we need to know which. The vibe is likely one of bemused reverence, watching a DJ known for button-pushing actually beatmatch wax on the world's biggest stage. Technically, this is a high-octane 150 BPM voyage through keys 7A and 12A, with the energy split nearly evenly between low and mid (0.46 and 0.44), creating a powerful, driving force with enough melodic content in the highs to qualify as trance.
The mixing from vinyl imposes a certain rawness and potential for error we find endearing, with long blends and natural fluctuations in tempo. The BPM range from 94 to 171 is wild, suggesting jumps from trance to hardstyle edits, but the core is the soaring, 150 BPM euphoria. Crate digging is a mix of classic and chaotic: opening with Push's 'Universal Nation' is a trance purist's dream, while BYØRN's 'Adagio For Strings (VIP Remix)' is a brutal, hardstyle-infused take on a classic.
