Anjunadeep In Miami 2019
Bless the hearts of the rhythmically challenged ravers who insist on clapping on the 1 and the 3, completely derailing the groove for everyone around them. They are so enthusiastic, but their internal metronome is fundamentally broken. Thankfully, the driving basslines of this [DJ] live set are thick enough to drown out the off-beat percussion section. The club is drenched in moody, aquatic blue lighting, giving the whole room a proper deep, immersive feel.
For the gear nerds, this [DJ] [venue] tracklist is a flawless slice of Electronic music sitting comfortably between 118 and 130 BPM. The DJ expertly weaves through the 12A, 6A, and 3B Camelot keys, maintaining a consistently high mid-range energy that refuses to dip. The mixing is buttery smooth and effortlessly cool. The crate digging is absolutely mad in the best way possible.
Slipping a 12-inch version of Blondie's 'Call Me' into a set like this is a stroke of genius, while Luttrell's 'Into Clouds' provides a gorgeous emotional peak. The journey starts flawlessly with the opening track 'Vette' by 16BL, gliding through hours of melodic euphoria before wrapping up gracefully with the closing track, Braxton's 'When The Sun Goes Down'.
